The Mill Race

Last night we opted to go to one of our favourite country restaurant

The Mill Race is hidden away in the hills, over bridges and up country lanes

We threw on our attire and headed for an early supper

I chose to wear; French Connection top, Karen Millen Skirt with a Cue Cape paired with Alexander MCqueen Shoes

After zooming our way through the lanes, with the roof down singing away to tunes we finally arrived

Now if you love pubs/ restaurants that are little hidden gems, with exceptional food, in a warm and cosy environment then this is the place for you

We made our way through the old creaky door and grabbed our table

We were all pretty ravenous so grabbed the menu's, stuck our heads in and within minutes all arose from behind and were ready to order

Seeing it was a sunny evening, we all opted for a glass of champagne to accompany the courses to come

The food then began to arrive

At this point I was ready to dig in and devour

I went for the Scotch egg to start

Which is to die for, one of the best Scotch eggs EVER

My Mum went for a mozzarella and tomato salad

My dad opted for the conflict duck

Shortly after the mains arrived

We all decided to dip in and out of each others meals rather than having our own

We grabbed a cured meat pizza

On a Sunday they do by one get one half prize on their wood fired pizza's

We also chose;

Ham, egg and chips

And an amazing goats cheese salad

Now I dont know about you but dessert is the best meal of the day which is why I chose the chocolate brownie dish

It was divine

Personally I would have rather destroy another dessert, as I am a real dessert fanatic

There is nothing better than the crispy yet soft brownie, paired with the perfectly prepared ice cream

However, I always feel they excel in their desserts and starters

After spending 5 hours eating and drinking, we were ready to be rolled out

The best thing about this place is, its not too expensive but the food is exceptional

I would definitely recommend it, Ill attach a link of the restaurant so all you food lovers out there can have a ganda
